Heartfelt feeling for Somalia, may the spirit of the leopard give you strength...

All pain is relative but sometimes when I log onto western websites and read their "problems" I cringe. Living in Nepal does that to you...
The awful recent terrorist attacks in Somalia, the country with two leopards on its coat of arms, has once again shown how our world can ignore the marginalized. Perhaps the leopard as a symbol for that country is appropriate, given the persecution of the spotted cat, there's a tragic congruence.
There are of course daily several instances of lack of respect for the leopard in this part of the world, I grapple with that but all the time knowing that a place like Somalia is doing it very tough, maybe the leopard is indeed a symbol for 3rd world countries.
For those of us who believe in equality, how it is the answer to the world's woes and actually believe it can happen, perhaps the leopard is more appropriately a symbol for that hope and determination. Stay strong Somalia.
